June 15, 2011 For immediate release BARBOURSVILLE, VA - ECO-FABULOUS IN ORANGE COUNTY Gentle Gardener Green Design gave 40 prominent wedding and event professionals from across the Commonwealth of Virginia a glimpse of what eco-chic wedding flowers look like during the first official Orange Wedding Tour May 17-18 in Orange County, Virginia. The farm-based design studio’s floral creations reflected their commitment to distinctive, personal design, sustainability and local enterprise. ![]() Korrie Lynn, photographer Gentle Gardener was just one of 30 artisans, inn keepers, chefs, vintners and purveyors who donated services and showcased their talents via a series of creative vignettes at indoor and outdoor venues to highlight the county’s offerings. For two days the guests experienced these ‘speed weddings’ so they can introduce their clientele to the option of creating a destination wedding with a distinctive sense of place in central Virginia. Orange County is less than two hours from Richmond and northern Virginia and less than one hour from Charlottesville. ![]() Stonefire Station --- PWP Photography The Gentle Gardener floral compositions were part of the Mayhurst Inn and Stonefire Station vignette teams. In-season blooms were grown locally and sustainably by professional growers, Gentle Gardener and their clients and Stonefire Station, whose gardens surround the venue. Proprietor Virginia R.
