TIP: Give roses
a serious pruning on the Summer Solstice, just before
the Japanese Beetle invasion.
Mulch heavily, cut back on water, and discourage blooms
until beetles depart around Labour Day, then watch
them bloom until frost! These varieties withstood the
droughts of the past few years well.
